Clothing are the things people put on, with the intent of covering their body Attire is the other name for defining clothing and it is fiber and textile worn on the body. Only human beings wear clothing and different societies wear different clothing. The amount and type of clothing worn is determined by ones’ body type, gender, social and environmental conditions.
Clothing prevents the body form being affected by harsh weather conditions by comprising the body. They also assist us while hiking and cooking activities. The most common types of physical clothing materials include; fabric, denim, leather and fur.
Historically, clothing options have grown more varied, and this has brought about different types of clothing. Every event requires different clothing options as well as choices, depending on culture and beliefs.
Clothing styles are determined by where you are, who you are and the different purposes you want to fulfill. Professional clothing should be formal, but dress for traveling, exercise wear, beachwear and safety apparel should not be legal. Religious and cultural factors determine one’s choice of attire.
The other purpose of clothing is to make you feel more beautiful and to interact with others. People even put on clothes for comfort and protection, for physical, psychological and social reasons. Clothes identifies you with other people, be self-confident and represents your personality.
Basic human needs are necessary for everyone. You become more contented and enjoy life better by meeting these needs. One of the primary human need is clothing. Knowing more about dress enables you to understand yourself an others better. As much as clothing is required; it is also the intriguing part of every person’s life.
Clothing prevents us from the effects of harsh climatic conditions like the rain, snow, wind, cold, and heat by covering our body. We can get injured while working or during games and sports and that’s why we need clothing. Clothing makes us feel comfortable by incorporating sweat, preventing colds and protects us from unintentional injuries, and rough surfaces. The right clothing can prevent you from extraordinarily high or low temperatures.
People residing in icy places, stay warm by putting on fur clothing. Fur traps warmth from their bodies and creates an insulator thereby keeping them warm People living in places with extremely high temperatures reduce the heat effects by covering their bodies by covering up with long flowing robes and head scarfs. They wear light clothes to cools them.
Some clothing like bulletproof vests are worn for accidents prevention. It is evident that fire-fighters, police officers, and road workers wear specific clothes to avoid accidents.
