What it Takes to Qualify for a Military Spouse Training Program

The ministry of defense has rolled out a training program for training military spouses for purposes of equipping them for portable careers that can directly impact the society. Notwithstanding the careers the spouses are interested in, the program is designed to sponsor the spouses to the level of having them fully certified by the colleges they choose to enroll in for these courses. The program funds the spouses for their education in accredited colleges across the USA. There are a number of processes that need to be followed for one to qualify for this program.

To start with, one is required to open an online account for the program in the designated web portal for the program. Once the account is created, one should then proceed to the next step of supplying all the needed information concerning their spouses. During this step, it is always required that due diligence is exercised to ensure that all the information supplied in true since any misrepresentations can lead to a candidate being disqualified during the verification process. Once the supplied information has been verified, the user is then allowed to open another account for the program on the web portal and this account is what serves as the official program’s account.

The other crucial thing that you need to have at hand during the application process is your training plan. The training plan is key owing to the fact that it is the one that supplies important information regarding the course you choose to pursue as well as the college from which you intend to take your course from. Before one can go on with the application process, the plan they submit must be subjected to an approval process. In normal cases, the approval of this plan could go up to ten business days.

As soon as your education plan has been reviewed and approved you are now eligible to request for the funding of your classes. The funding one receives is called a financial assistance and there are clear steps on the application process which can be found on the web portal. The funding can be up to $4000 and one is eligible to use it for up to three years in college or until it is depleted, whichever comes first. It is also worth noting that the tuition fees are remitted directly to the training institution.

When a military spouse is not successful in their application for the military training program, they are encouraged to apply for the counselling program for the spouses. Just like the military training for spouses training, this program seeks to equip the spouses for community work.
